Formspree
Serverless form backend that handles submissions, email notifications, spam protection, and app integrations, with no backend code to write.
What it is
Formspree is a form handling service, as presented on the Formspree homepage. Developers point a form at a unique Formspree endpoint, and submissions arrive in the Formspree inbox, by email, and through integrations, with no custom server code. The Formspree plans page lists Formshield spam filtering, file uploads of up to 10 files per submission, and plugins that send submissions to third-party apps such as Google Sheets and Trello.
When it fits
Formspree fits static websites and other sites without a backend that only need to collect form submissions, as the Formspree plans page describes. Instead of writing server code, developers drop an endpoint into a form element, as the Formspree homepage shows.
What to watch
Projects with active traffic should monitor submission volume. The free plan allows 50 submissions per month and does not include submission search, according to the Formspree plans page. The rules engine and custom thank-you page redirects also require paid plans, per the same page.
